I will start this review with saying something most of people did not expect me to say. I like Kesha. Yes, I just said that. Metal guy who likes Kesha. I can already say some metal fans calling me bunch of stupid names and saying how I lose all credibility because of me liking Kesha and honestly I don’t care. If I like something I won’t have shame admitting it.
Now, let’s dig right into the review. So how is this new Kesha song “Praying”?
Since I started this blog I have been waiting for a moment when I could talk about this band in greater detail. If you know anything about me then you know that alongside Nightwish Epica has always been my #1 artist. So, let’s make little introduction for this amazing band called Epica
Epica is a Dutch symphonic metal band, founded by guitarist and vocalist Mark Jansen after his departure from After Forever. They have released seven albums so far and constantly improved with every released album. “The Holographic Principle” was my favorite album of last year and I had four Epica songs in my top 25 best songs of 2016. Click here for the top 25 list Actually, I had to put four songs per artist rule because without it I would end up with at least eight songs from that album on the list.
In 2017 Epica out of nowhere released single for upcoming EP called “The Solace System”. So is “The Solace System” any good?
DragonForce are a British power metal band based in London, England. Formed in 1999, the group are known for their long and fast guitar solos, fantasy-themed lyrics, and electronic sounds in their music to add to their retro video game-influenced sound. They were the first band I really liked or how some people like to say “obsessed”. It was somewhere in 2010 when my cousin showed me “Through The Fire And Flames” and OMG. I was blown away by sheer speed of their guitar playing. Until that day I have never seen someone playing that fast and melodic.
At that time my only source of new music was Youtube so what I would do is to literally type “Dragonforce new song”. And then one day new song was actually released. It was “Fallen World” and I absolutely adored it. Their next album “Power Within” was first metal album I have heard in full. Basically what I am trying to say is that Dragonforce was always band I liked a lot and I still do.
So in 2017 they released new song called “Judgement Day”. So is it any good?
Out of nowhere Lorde decided to release another song. This one is called Liability. “Green Light”was amazing. So, is “Liabilty” on par with “Green Light“?
So, Lorde is back!!! Finally. Singer that shaped pop music and spawned tons of copycats(Alessia Cara, Daya etc.). So what do we get with “Green Light”?
Remember Seether? That band that made that mediocre “Careless Whisper” cover and that decent song “Fake It”. Yeah, that band. Looks like they are back with a new song “Let You Down”. So did they let us down?( implying that they can let us down)
